Kitchen Remodeling Plans

My daughter and a few of her friends recently bought what i like to call a "fixer upper" house. They were attracted to he opportunity of cheap housing and a fun project for the summer. Most of the problems with the house were purely commercial, but the kitchen was going to need some serious kitchen remodeling plans. At first the girls decided that if they took small steps and did the kitchen piece by piece then they were going to be ok by themselves.

However, they began to remove wallpaper and rip up the flooring, and it became perfectly clear they would need a professional on the job here. They were going to have to comprimise on a few things, but if they wanted to stay within budget it was neccessary.

After the room had been stripped bare my friend the contractor returned to run thought the viable options with the girls, to create a desirable and effective kitchen WITHIN BUDGET. The girls got what they wanted by dimming down the kitchen remodeling plans by choosing some less expensive materials that would still be sturdy and provide quality. They did things like resurface cabinets
instead of replacing the entire things. Another major money AND time saver was choosing linoleum flooring. This option removed all those extra expenses involved in tiling in their kitchen remodeling plans.
I got my husband in on the scene when they decided to tackle the walls ,and he got to work on repairs. The counter top was physically sound and quite useable, but the colour was exremely distasteful. We jumped online and found a technique of painting that we were able to use to make it look like stone. We also found a special sealer down the local hardware store to prevent chipping and peeling. Guess what, we ksit saved almost 80% of the original counter top budget, as we were expecting to have to replace the damn thing.

Though getting involved and bringing their friends round for a renovation day on the house, they were able to bring down the cost of the kitchen remodeling plans so much, that they had enough money left over to do the walls and carpets in other areas of the house. Now not only do they have an extremely decent house to live in, but they will most definately run up a profit when they decide to sell.
